Supporting mission and ministry across the Diocese of Los Angeles

Launched as an emergency appeal during COVID, the diocesan One Body & One Spirit Annual Appeal isn’t just for emergencies anymore. It’s for anything a church or institution needs that isn’t covered by the budget. Every dollar received goes back out the door in grants from the Corporation of the Diocese, which since 2020 has made 87 grants to 70 congregations, institutions, and ministries helping with everything from roof repairs to security upgrades, classroom improvements, and more.

Every single dollar raised goes right back out as grants, with absolutely no administrative cost. Click the "Past Grants" tab to see how the generous gifts made by more than 285 donors have made an impact across the diocese over the last five years.

May 1 is the filing deadline for the next round of grants to be awarded by the corporation in June. Grants may be requested up to a maximum amount of $10,000, and awards are limited to a total of $150,000 annually.
